Google has officially introduced Disco, a new AI-powered browser designed to let users create lightweight, interactive mini-apps simply by typing prompts. The project, developed by Google’s internal Seed team, blends browser functionality with generative AI tools, aiming to make app creation as simple as writing a sentence.
According to early details, Disco allows users to describe what they want such as a calculator, habit tracker, to-do board, workout planner, or even small games and the browser instantly generates a functional mini-app inside the interface. These apps can then be customized, shared, and saved for reuse.
The browser focuses heavily on speed and simplicity, with a clean layout and an AI engine running in the background to process user requests. Unlike traditional no-code builders, Disco doesn’t require templates or design blocks; everything is created on demand from the prompt.
The project appears aimed at everyday users, students, and creators who want quick tools without downloading full apps. It’s also positioned as an experimental preview of how AI could reshape personal computing in the near future.
Google hasn’t announced a widespread rollout yet, but testing has already begun for select users. More features including collaboration tools, export options, and deeper integration with Google services are expected in upcoming builds.
