Samsung Launches a 60W Charger in Preparation for the Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung Launches a 60W Charger

Samsung has quietly added a new 60W USB-C fast charger to its official accessories lineup, hinting strongly at an upcoming charging upgrade for the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The charger, listed as model EP-T6010, supports USB PD 3.1 with PPS, allowing it to regulate power more efficiently and deliver higher wattage than Samsung’s long-standing 45W adapters.

The new accessory uses improved power-management technology designed to keep idle consumption extremely low, making it both faster and more energy-efficient. While Samsung hasn’t explicitly linked the charger to any specific device, its timing aligns closely with the expected Galaxy S26 Ultra debut in early 2026.

Recent firmware teardowns have hinted at Samsung testing a new “Super Fast Charging 3.0” mode internally, believed to support up to 60W wired charging. If accurate, the S26 Ultra would finally move beyond the 45W limit that has remained unchanged since the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The listing’s appearance just ahead of Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event strengthens expectations that the S26 Ultra will adopt the higher charging tier. This would help Samsung catch up to rivals that already offer 65W and higher charging speeds in the flagship segment.
