Samsung recently unveiled the Galaxy XR headset, and now the company appears to be working on its first XR glasses. The upcoming device reportedly carries the model number SM-O200P, with the “O” differentiating it from the headset’s “I” series, confirming it is a separate wearable.
The glasses are expected to be similar in style to Meta’s Ray-Ban smart glasses. Rumors suggest they will feature Transitions lenses, which automatically darken in sunlight and turn clear indoors, along with a camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a mobile data connection, a feature that sets them apart from Meta’s first-gen glasses.
Samsung has already registered the Galaxy Glasses name, hinting at possible branding for the device. The first version is expected to launch in 2026 without a display, followed by a more advanced model with a screen in 2027. While the US market is confirmed for release, details about availability in other regions are still unknown.
