Honor 500 Series Set to Bring Flagship-Level Specs at a Mid-Tier Price

Honor 500 Series

Launching later in 2025, the Honor 500 series is already creating buzz thanks to a wave of leaks hinting at flagship-grade hardware in a more affordable package.

Design leaks suggest a flat display, metal frame, and a large horizontal camera bar a look that mirrors premium models. The standard Honor 500 is said to feature a dual-camera setup, while the Honor 500 Pro may step up to a triple-camera layout for more versatility.

Under the hood, reports indicate the base Honor 500 could use the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, while the Pro variant might pack the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite. This combination places the series in direct competition with upper mid-range phones from Samsung and Xiaomi.

Camera rumours are equally promising. Both phones are expected to feature a 200 MP main sensor. The standard model may pair this with a 50 MP ultra-wide lens, while the Pro adds a 64 MP periscope telephoto camera for enhanced zoom capabilities.

Battery capacity is another highlight. Both variants are said to house a massive 8,000 mAh battery, with 80 W fast charging support. The Pro version might also include 50 W wireless charging, making it one of the most battery-efficient phones in its class.

The display is rumoured to be a 6.55-inch flat LTPO OLED panel with 1.5K resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate, alongside high-frequency PWM dimming (4320 Hz) for smoother visuals and reduced eye strain.

Design-wise, the Honor 500 series is expected to come in multiple colour options like black, silver, pink, and blue, and could carry an IP68 or IP69 water and dust resistance rating, a rare feature at this price point.

The series is reportedly set for a China debut in December 2025, with a global release expected in early 2026. Pricing for the Honor 500 Pro may range between $550 and $700, depending on configuration and region.

If these leaks prove accurate, the Honor 500 series could redefine the upper mid-range smartphone segment offering flagship-level design, battery life, and performance at a fraction of the cost.
