Motorola has officially launched its new Edge 70 smartphone in China, where it carries the name Moto X70 Air. The device stands out for its ultra-thin design, measuring just 5.3mm, making it one of the slimmest smartphones on the market. Despite its sleek profile, Motorola has managed to pack in a 4,800mAh battery, promising solid endurance for daily use.
The Edge 70 (X70 Air) features a 6.7-inch OLED display with 144Hz refresh rate and HDR10+ support, offering a premium visual experience. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto shooter, with Motorola emphasizing improved AI-powered photography.
The phone runs on Android 15 out of the box with Motorola’s clean MyUX interface. It also supports 68W fast charging, stereo speakers, and IP68 water resistance.
Motorola confirmed that the global version of the Edge 70 will roll out in select markets starting November 5, 2025. Pricing details for international markets are yet to be announced, but in China, the Moto X70 Air starts around ¥3,699 (roughly $510).
